How to Play Yono Games: Rummy, Slots & Spin Basics for Beginners

Quick Answer
Set up the app with your mobile number and OTP, then learn one game first. For rummy that means sequences and sets. For slots it means paylines and the paytable. Always start at the lowest stake.

Set Up Any Yono App in Five Steps
Every Yono-family app starts the same way. Install the APK (see the Yono APK download guide if you have not), open it and register with your mobile number and OTP. Check the wallet for any sign-up credit, then try a practice table or the lowest stake before playing for money.
Set a daily spending limit now, before your first game. Some apps have a built-in limit setting, and a note on your phone works just as well.

Yono Rummy: The Rules in Five Points
Indian rummy is played with 13 cards. The aim is to arrange all 13 into valid groups: sequences (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit) and sets (three or four cards of the same rank in different suits).
You need at least two sequences, and one must be pure, meaning no joker. The second can use a joker as a substitute card. On each turn you pick one card (from the closed deck or the open discard pile) and discard one.
When all 13 cards are in valid groups, you declare. Opponents score points for their ungrouped cards, and in most formats lower is better.

Points, Pool and Deals: Which Rummy Format to Start With
Points rummy is one deal. Each point has a fixed value and the winner collects from the others. It is the fastest format and the best for learning.
Pool rummy (101 or 201) runs over several deals. You are out when your total points pass the limit, and the last player left wins the pool.
Deals rummy is played over a fixed number of deals with chips. Whoever has the most chips at the end wins.
Start with low-value Points tables. Once you can make a pure sequence quickly and track the discard pile, try Pool. Our Rummy 91 guide walks through a real app step by step.
Yono Slots & Spin Games: The Basics
Slots need no skill but they do have rules. Each machine has reels, paylines, a stake per spin, wild symbols that complete lines and scatter symbols that usually open a bonus round. The machine's paytable (the “i” button) shows what everything pays.
Results are random on every spin, so the useful choices are which machine, what stake and how long. Our Yes Spin how-to-play guide goes into each part with a first-session plan.
Card Games: Teen Patti and Quick Rounds
Many multi-game Yono apps include Teen Patti, Andar Bahar and Dragon vs Tiger. Teen Patti is the one with real decisions: three cards each, hand rankings from Trail down to High Card, and a choice between playing blind or seen. Our Teen Patti rules and variations guide covers it fully.
Andar Bahar and Dragon vs Tiger are pure chance. Each round takes seconds, which makes it easy to lose track of how much you have staked.
Play Within Limits
Treat whatever you deposit as the cost of entertainment, not an investment. Stop at your limit, never borrow to play, and ignore anyone selling “winning time” tips or “loss recovery” tricks. Those are scams, as explained in Yes Spin tricks.
If play stops being fun, take a break. Free, confidential mental-health support, including for gambling problems, is available from the government's Tele MANAS helpline at 14416.
Good Apps to Learn On
If UPI cash-out matters more than chip tournaments, these apps on this site have a disclosed sign-up bonus, a stated minimum withdrawal, and a download link our editors checked themselves.
